FORT GIBSON, Okla. - A Fort Gibson woman is facing multiple felony charges after a child exploitation investigation in Collin County, Texas, led authorities to Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Sarahbeth McKenna, 34, was arrested Sept. 4 on charges including child sexual abuse, child neglect, child sexual exploitation, lewd act with a child, distribution of child sexual abuse material and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

The investigation began in Texas. On Aug. 7, investigators with the Collin County Sheriff's Office notified the OSBI that they were investigating child exploitation in their jurisdiction.

During that investigation, Collin County investigators determined that one of their suspects had been in contact with McKenna, who lived in Fort Gibson, the OSBI said. Authorities did not identify the Texas suspect or disclose the nature of the communications with McKenna.

OSBI special agents obtained a search warrant for McKenna's residence and served it with assistance from the Fort Gibson Police Department.

Investigators said evidence obtained during the investigation led to an arrest warrant for McKenna on the six charges.

Fort Gibson Police located McKenna on Sept. 4 and took her into custody on the felony warrant. OSBI agents then transported her to the Rogers County Detention Center, where she was booked.

Authorities did not release the age of the child involved or additional details about the evidence investigators said they recovered.
