DUNCAN, Okla. — A 27-year-old youth pastor in Duncan has been arrested on two counts of child sexual abuse following an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
Andrew Benton, who served as the youth president for the Assembly of our Lord Jesus Christ and a youth pastor at Grace Chapel Pentecostal Church in Duncan, turned himself in to the Stephens County Sheriff's Office on October 8, 2026.
According to the OSBI, the investigation began on March 4, 2026, when the Duncan Police Department requested assistance in investigating allegations of child sexual abuse.
During the investigation, OSBI special agents identified Benton as the suspect and discovered that he had made sexual contact with juveniles who were members of the Assembly of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On August 28, 2026, the OSBI submitted its investigative report to the Stephens County District Attorney's Office for review.
Following a review of the information and evidence gathered, the Stephens County District Court issued an arrest warrant for Benton on October 6, 2026.
Two days later, Benton surrendered to the Stephens County Sheriff's Office and was booked into the Stephens County Jail on two counts of child sexual abuse.
The OSBI thanked the Duncan Police Department, Stephens County Sheriff's Office, Stephens County District Attorney's Office, and Oklahoma Department of Human Services for their continued assistance throughout the investigation.
The charges are accusations, and Benton is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
