Woman Arrested in Oklahoma City After Fatal Hit-and-Run Following Argument

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — A woman has been arrested and charged with murder after a fatal hit-and-run that followed an argument in a northwest Oklahoma City neighborhood, according to police.

Officers responded around 10:00 a.m. on April 12, 2026, to a reported auto-pedestrian collision near Northwest 104th Street and Middlesbrough Lane. When officers arrived, they found the victim, identified as 39-year-old Taisha Dale, lying in the roadway and began rendering aid.

Dale was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Investigators determined that Dale had been arguing in the street with Deawna Jones near the 11300 block of Northwest 104th Street. During the incident, police said Dale began walking away when Jones intentionally struck her with a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Jones was located a short time later and taken into custody.

She has been booked into jail on complaints of first-degree murder and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
