Four Arrested in Purcell Sexual Assault Investigation; Two Parents Charged with Failure to Report

PURCELL, OK — A comprehensive investigation into sexual assault allegations at a Purcell residence has led to the arrest of four individuals, including a 32-year-old man, a 17-year-old juvenile, and their parents. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and the McClain County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

The case involves two separate victims and allegations of crimes spanning over a decade.

Dual Assault Investigations

The investigation was launched in October 2025 at the request of the McClain County Sheriff’s Office. Agents determined that a minor had been sexually assaulted at a residence in Purcell in March 2024. A 17-year-old male was identified as the suspect in that incident.

As the probe deepened, a second victim came forward to report a separate assault at the same location. Investigators discovered that Dillon Lindsey, 32, had allegedly physically and sexually assaulted this victim multiple times between 2013 and 2014.

Parents Charged with Failure to Report

Central to the investigation was the discovery that both victims had previously reported the abuse to the suspects' parents, Gregory Lindsey, 57, and Mitzi Lindsey, 54. According to the OSBI, the parents failed to report the allegations to law enforcement or the Department of Human Services (DHS) as required by law.

As a result, Gregory and Mitzi Lindsey have both been charged with Failure to Report to Police and DHS.

Charges and Custody Status

The McClain County District Court issued arrest warrants for all four individuals following the OSBI's findings:

  • Dillon Lindsey: Charged with one count of First-Degree Rape, two counts of Lewd Acts With a Child Under 16, and one count of Sodomy with a Child Under 16. He was arrested in Norman.

  • 17-Year-Old Male: Charged with Rape by Instrumentation. He is being held at a juvenile facility in Shawnee.

  • Gregory and Mitzi Lindsey: Charged with Failure to Report. Gregory was arrested by OSBI agents, while Mitzi turned herself in to authorities.

The three adults were booked into the McClain County Jail.

Collaborative Effort

The OSBI credited the successful outcome of the investigation to the close partnership between the McClain County Sheriff’s Office, the Maysville Police Department, and the Norman Police Department.
