Man Fatally Stabbed Outside Tulsa QuikTrip; Investigation Ongoing

TULSA, Okla. — A 27-year-old man died after being stabbed early Saturday morning, April 26th, near a QuikTrip at 51st Street and Peoria Avenue, according to Tulsa police.

Officers responded around 5:45 a.m. to a reported stabbing and found Tramell Lyons lying in the intersection with a stab wound to the abdomen. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Police said a woman involved in the incident met officers inside the gas station and told them she had recently met Lyons, who had been attempting to pursue a relationship with her. She said she had rejected those advances and that Lyons blocked her from entering the store.

According to her account, she ran from Lyons but he caught up with her in the intersection and struck her in the chin. She told officers she then stabbed him and returned to the gas station to seek help.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and no arrests have been made. Police identified the case as Tulsa’s 15th homicide of 2026.
