TULSA, Okla. — A man wanted on multiple felony warrants was arrested Saturday after leading Tulsa police on a vehicle pursuit that ended with a crash and the recovery of fentanyl, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. on June 13, 2026, a Tulsa police officer spotted a white Chevrolet Silverado parked outside the Expo Inn Hotel near 21st Street and Yale Avenue.

The vehicle was registered to 41-year-old William Davis, whom the officer knew had outstanding felony warrants after failing to appear in court in April on charges of third-degree burglary, drug possession and identity theft.

Police observed Davis leaving the hotel and getting into the pickup truck.

When officers attempted a traffic stop, Davis allegedly fled the parking lot, driving over a median and sidewalk before entering 21st Street.

Investigators said Davis accelerated away from officers and temporarily escaped their view.

Additional officers later spotted the Silverado traveling south on Harvard Avenue near 27th Street. During the pursuit, Davis drove through a construction zone, striking road closure signs and a yield sign.

Authorities said the truck lost its front right wheel before coming to a stop in a nearby parking lot.

Officers responding to the scene observed Davis emerging from behind a dumpster approximately 50 yards from the abandoned vehicle.

He was taken into custody without further incident.

During the arrest, officers discovered a small bag containing approximately seven grams of fentanyl behind the dumpster where Davis had been hiding.

Davis was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation following the crash before being booked into the Tulsa County Jail.

In addition to the three outstanding warrants, Davis was charged with Eluding, Trafficking Fentanyl and Obstructing an Officer.

The investigation remains ongoing.
