Tulsa County Woman Accused of Shooting Man During Domestic Dispute

TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — A 33-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly shooting a man in the ankle and assaulting him during a domestic dispute early Sunday morning, according to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were dispatched to a local hospital during the early morning hours of June 14, 2026, after a man arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, the victim reported that he had been involved in a verbal altercation with 33-year-old Chelsie Austin.

During the argument, the victim told deputies he was struck in the back of the head with an unknown object. He further alleged that Austin retrieved a firearm and shot him in the ankle as he attempted to leave the residence.

The victim also reported that Austin struck him multiple times with a Bible during the confrontation.

A family member transported the victim to the hospital, where deputies observed injuries they said were consistent with the victim's account of the incident.

Following the investigation, deputies located Austin at a residence in the 19500 block of South Memorial and took her into custody.

Austin was booked into jail on charges of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon (Domestic), Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Firearm While Intoxicated, and Assault and Battery.

Authorities have not released additional information regarding the victim's condition.

The investigation remains ongoing.
