OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found shot to death in a field near Interstate 240 in south Oklahoma City.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded at approximately 7:12 p.m. on June 17, 2026, to the area of West I-240 Service Road and Walker Avenue after a caller reported finding a person who had been shot.

When officers arrived, they discovered a deceased man at the scene.

The victim was identified as 32-year-old Devin Waitman Brewer.

Investigators with the department's Homicide Unit responded and have begun working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and what led up to Brewer's death.

Police have not released any information regarding possible suspects or a motive.

No arrests have been made as of this time.

The case has been designated as Oklahoma City's 35th homicide of 2026.
