TULSA, Okla. - A Tulsa man has been charged with first-degree murder after police say his nephew was found dead from blunt force trauma inside a home Thursday evening.
Officers with the Tulsa Police Department responded at approximately 5:19 p.m. on July 30 to a residence near Oklahoma Street and North Birmingham Place after receiving a report of a deceased person.
When officers arrived, they found 29-year-old Jason Waldeck dead inside the home. Police said he had suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
Homicide detectives interviewed family members at the scene and identified the victim's uncle, 57-year-old David Waldeck, as the suspect.
David Waldeck was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a charge of First-Degree Murder.
Police have not released a motive for the killing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
