GLENPOOL, Okla. - A woman has been arrested after investigators determined the initial account of a shooting at a Glenpool residence did not match the physical evidence collected at the scene, according to the Glenpool Police Department.

Officers responded Aug. 6 to a home in the 13800 block of South Zenith Street after receiving a report of a person who had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

As detectives processed the crime scene, investigators determined that the original explanation of how the shooting occurred was inconsistent with the physical evidence.

Detectives later obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence, where they recovered a firearm believed to be connected to the shooting.

Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, detectives established probable cause to arrest Karissa Lish on complaints of reckless handling of a firearm and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

The victim remains hospitalized, and investigators plan to interview him when his medical condition allows.

Police said the investigation remains active as detectives continue conducting follow-up interviews and awaiting forensic examination of evidence. Authorities noted that additional investigative steps are ongoing and that additional charges could be considered as the investigation progresses.

The Glenpool Police Department said it remains committed to conducting a thorough and objective investigation while releasing information that does not compromise the integrity of the case.
