VINITA, Okla. — State and local law enforcement officers arrested a 20-year-old Vinita man and his 64-year-old grandmother following a digital investigation into child sexual abuse material uploaded to an online platform, state agents announced.
20-year-old Aiden Cooper was taken into custody on Thursday, August 13, 2026, by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. He was booked into the Craig County Jail on charges of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material, and Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
Discord CyberTip Triggers State Investigation
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a referral from the online messaging platform Discord regarding user uploads depicting child sexual abuse material. NCMEC forwarded the information to the OSBI ICAC Unit for evaluation.
OSBI ICAC agents identified Cooper as the individual associated with the flagged online account. During the subsequent investigation into the digital account, agents discovered multiple images and videos containing child sexual abuse material.
Multi-Agency Search Warrants and Grandmother Arrest
On August 13, agents with the OSBI ICAC Unit, officers with the Vinita Police Department, and an Electronic Storage Detection K-9 unit from the Miami Police Department executed search warrants across multiple locations. Based on evidence gathered during the operation, the OSBI obtained a felony arrest warrant issued by the Craig County District Court for Cooper.
During the execution of one of the search warrants, law enforcement also arrested Cooper’s grandmother, 64-year-old Diane Cooper, on obstruction charges. She was transported to the Craig County Jail and booked alongside her grandson.
OSBI officials confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing, extending thanks to both the Vinita Police Department and the Miami Police Department for their continued partnership and assistance throughout the case.
